Pricing

Standard Digital Master

Includes 44.1kHz 16-bit WAVs, 44.1kHz 24-bit WAVs, 48kHz 24-bit WAVs, 96kHz 24-bit WAVs (high resolution), and 320kbps MP3’s. All needed metadata, ISRC codes (if provided), and artwork (if provided) are encoded.

Single: $75 per song

2-9 Songs: $65 per song

10 or more songs: $55 per song

Alternate Versions

Includes clean/radio-edited, acapella, instrumental, underscore, etc. Has to be a song already being mastered for the same project.

$20 per song

Vinyl/CD/Cassette

Audio from a given project will require a separate master that’s appropriate for the given medium.

CD: Included (includes DDP image)

Vinyl pre-master: $20 per song

Cassette master: $10 per song

Additional Services

Services I offer that fall out of the scope of traditional audio mastering.

Mix Consultation: $50 per hour

Podcast/Audiobook Editing: Priced per project, inquire within for rates

Miscellaneous Notes

All rates are in USD.
The entire project must be submitted at the same time to qualify for the alternate version or bundled song pricing.
If a project is resubmitted with a new mix after the final master has been approved by the client, then the client will be rebilled for it as a new project since it will need to be remastered.

Preparing Your Mixes

Please make sure that the mix is finished! If it is not, then please notate that in your contact submission form before you request services.
When exporting your session, please make sure it’s being exported at the same sample rate and bit depth as it was created with. No upsampling is necessary. As long as it’s least 44.1kHz, 16-bit, we’re good to go.
If there are fades at the beginning and end of tracks, please make sure that they are correct and flow nicely. If this is something that needs to be added, please let me know in the initial project requirements.
If you have reference tracks, please send them along with the final mix (or just make sure to specify what they are in the contact submission form).
If you mix into any kind of bus compression, EQ, etc., then leave it on when you send it. If you’re unsure whether or not you should leave it on, feel free to send me the mix with it and without it and we’ll go from there!
The overall output must be at or below 0db on the mix. Please make sure that the audio isn’t clipping upon export.

Mastering Formats

Standard streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc) – 44.1 kHz, 16-bit and 24-bit WAV files.
Music Videos – 48kHz, 24-bit WAV files.
High-resolution streaming services (Tidal, Qobuz, etc) – 96kHz, 24-bit WAV files.
Apple Digital Masters (I am Apple Digital Masters certified) – 96kHz, 24-bit WAV files.
Vinyl – 96kHz, 24-bit WAV files for both A and B sides, as well as a PDF cue sheet for vinyl manufacturing.
Cassette -44.1kHz, 16-bit files for both A and B sides.
CD – 44.1kHz, 16-bit WAV files, as well as a DDP image containing your project with the proper sequencing and information for CD manufacturing.

Payment

After the initial contact and consultation you’ll receive a quote. Quotes are estimates and for reference only. Once the quote has been agreed upon and the project has been approved, clients will then be invoiced via Wave, a secure payment portal.

After the project has been completed and to the client’s satisfaction, the invoice will need to be paid. Once it is paid, the files (which are held behind a secure paywall) will be released and sent to the client via WeTransfer.

Revisions

Clients are allowed as many as revisions as necessary as a courtesy, but this is subject to Commonwealth Mastering’s discretion and additional charges may incur if revisions are requested more than 14 days after the final project files have been completed and sent back to the client.

Delivery & Archiving

Master deliveries are done exclusively through WeTransfer for consistency. Final delivery will be made after client approval of masters (after revisions have been made, if applicable).

Additional formats requested more than 14 days after media delivery may incur additional charges. Final masters will be archived for 1 year, but it is out of professional courtesy to my clients and not a requirement. Archiving and securing of digital and physical media is the sole responsibility of the client.
